Research Journal 285 entry eleven- doing Trails

Today, I created an account at TRAILS. I want to see if I can use this as an assessment tool for information literacy with middle school students here in China. My research plan for my thesis is to assess middle school students on their information literacy skills then try some different teaching strategies and to see if it has an impact on their information literacy skills. I may have to go with a paper test if the TRAILS assessment is too slow loading from the school. The writers have done an amazing job correlating the questions on the assessment to both the AASL Information Power Standard/Indicator and
the 21st Century Learner Standard.
